Speech Team is a competitive Forensic sport where students practice & Reherse Literature Pieces for local and regional schools in the hopes of impressing the judges.

If you are interested in drama and have a knack for public speaking, This is a great way to become a more effective critical thinker. Also, You get to meet students from other schools that are interested in forensics.

     The Events:

                                        "A" Events:

                                                         Prose Reading- Reading from a well published literature source ( 8 Minutes)

                                                         Storytelling- Retelling of a classic Children's story from memory( 10 Minutes)

                                                         Dramatic interpretation- Dramatization of a literature piece about deep subject from memory ( 10 Minutes)

                                                         Extempt- Presenting an impromtu speech over a relevant topic to society ( 7 Minutes)

                                       "B" Events:

                                                        Humorous Interpritation- Dramatization of a literature piece of a humorous nature from memory ( 10 Minutes)

                                                        Poetry Reading- Reading from a selection of poetry from a well published source ( 8 Minutes)

                                                        Radio Speaking- Reading of a script the contains new weather and sports ( 5 Minutes )
